Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced they have signed an exclusive licence deal with 20th Century Fox to develop and distribute 24: The Game which lets gamers play agent Jack Bauer from the popular television series 24.
High production values make the whole 24 game experience completely authentic. The game's music has been written by the TV show's award-winning composer Sean Callery, and an all-new script has been penned by 24 show writer Duppy Demetrius in collaboration with the 24 production team.
The game also includes all signature graphical devices and sound effects; uses the unique visual style with cut-scenes produced in conjunction with the series' creator and cinematographer and multi panel windows showing concurrent plot developments as they happen.
The first screenshots from 24: The Game are in our game section for the title, so check them out. The game is expected for release towards the end of the year on the PlayStation 2.

I watched 24 on fox8 and found it extremely boring. Nothing beats the old days when the X-Files was actually good.

Does that mean the game will take only 24 hours to finish? :P
The graphics look shocking, even for PS2...

They spam foxtel with it now, it sucks. It seems to me that all the old crap that commercial tv has gotten rid of keeps being played over and over on foxtel.

I also found it to be pretty boring, though I did catch one episode of the typical SWAT team stand-off then a car chase. Doubt a game would be any good though.

I love the 24 series, and although I think the latest seasons are starting to get way to cliche and loose alot of the originality of the original series, it will still make for a compelling video game.

The graphics look shocking, even for PS2...

Really? I was thinking the exact opposite. I think the character models in particular look fantastic, and honestly, if you are going to make a game based on an existing franchise, thats got to be one of the most important aspects.

I'm curious as to whether this game will be just a run of the mill action shooter, or if there will be some clever element based around time, pulling it all together. Now THAT would be cool. Imagine the game really DOES take 24 hours to complete ... and it just gives you freedom to go about things however you want. You need information from this informant, he will be at this place in 5 min, drive there quickly and catch him, etc etc.

The TV series relied alot on clifhanger endings to each show that got your blood pumping because things always happened just in the nick of time. If they could capture that sense of urgency in the game, it could be a unique winner.

The graphics look pretty ****. Lots of bloom effect on some of those shots. Min Req : Sun glasses.

Graphics wise its pretty ****, reminds me of Max Payne. Dont think this game will be good as other tv/movie type games, the only good one i played was the Reddick, and that was a excellent game with great doom3 like graphics :)

tv shows, movies, and whatever else there is never make good transition into games. but games inspired from movies, books, tvshows are usually good.

dont expect much.

with 24, the screenshots look horrific.

hehehe, i agree with the graphics look **** party. they try to flood the screen with bloom to hide how low poly the car and everything else is... but i'm sure it'll look different in the final thingo.

24? i liked the first series but after watching some of the second series i realised that it's just an average soap that I had been sucked into...
