Jungle Love with Crysis
After some confusing release date and time shenanigans the promised Singleplayer demo for Crysis has made its way to our file library

This game looks amazing and is sure to give even the most pimped out gaming rigs a good workout. It's about 1.8GB though, so if you're with BigPond make sure you download it unmetered from the GameArena files library.

Meanwhile, right on schedule Splash Damage has released the v1.2 patch for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. This one adds the promised voice-chat support with a swag of other new features, bug-fixes and balancing tweaks. GameArena has the ranked servers and we've updated them to version 1.2 so download the client side patch from GameArena files to get back in the game.

This week Kreese checks out Auran's Fury, the latest fish in the big ocean of massively multiplayer online role playing games, developed locally in Brisbane, Australia.

Brisbane developer Auran's aim was to provide a competitive player vs player MMO environment without the countless hours of grinding. Did they succeed? This week Kreese tries his hand at Fury. Is it good news, or does he unleash his own fury? Find out the verdict on this interesting take on the MMO genre with his review

Hot and Heavy: TF2
Valve sends word that the promised Xbox 360 update for The Orange Box is out, available as an automatic download next time you load the game while connected to Xbox Live. This one focuses on Team Fortress 2, addressing the lackluster netcode to hopefully make things a bit more playable.

It's no local dedicated server but we've had a quick test of things here and it seems to be a lot smoother than it was. If you'd written off the TF2 Xbox 360 online play because of lag, definitely give it another shot after installing this one.

Not so fishy: COD 4
Sometimes it's entertaining when publishers do something a little different when promoting this game. Case in point Vladimir Putin's review of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Check out the latest COD4 related clip in our video library to find out what the Russian President has to say about Infinity Ward's hotly anticipated shooter.

Harmonix has now confirmed the list of 45 tracks that will feature in the career mode in the upcoming plastic instrument extravaganza, Rock Band. We knew about most of these already but here it is, the definitive list. It's also worth noting that this doesn't include a further 13 bonus songs.

Simplified Complexity
Easy to pick up and play isn't what you'd normally use to describe a 4X game. Joaby gets his hands on some preview code for Firaxis' and 2K games Civilization Revolution though and let's us know if the concept is worthwhile. His hands-on preview is up and ready to read.

December 7th is the confirmed date for the European release of Nintendo's upcoming controller add-on, the Wii Zapper. Given the December 12th release date planned for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it's a safe bet (or hope) Australia will be getting it around the same time. While the add-on is due in the US on November 19 for $US20, Nintendo hasn't yet put a price on what this piece of white plastic will cost in Europe (and by extension Australia). Given past history, it's a good bet we'll be paying more in Australian currency.
