The new FIFA hits demo form, Command and Conquer FREE, Tom Morello rages ON the machine, Call of Duty 4 previewed and more in what is a hot, hot, HOT week in gaming. Come get some!

EA puts their foot into it

A playable demo for the PC version of EA's FIFA 08 was released over the weekend. Compared to a lot of other samplers released recently, this one's a reasonably sized 500MB. There's no official word as to what exactly includes, but there's a good chance you'll be able to play some soccer. Grab it right here from GameArena files.

Console demo offerings don't appear to be on the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Network at present, but we're betting they won't be too far away.

Celebrating the 12th anniversary of the flag-ship real time strategy series, EA have released the original Command and Conquer as a free download. The 2 CD ISO files for both the GDI and NOD discs can now be downloaded locally from GameArena files which can be burned to disc or mounted with your virtual drive application of choice to play the Gold edition of Command and Conquer (the same version included The First Decade compilation pack).

With added Morello!

Activision have released a new trailer from Guitar Hero 3, the upcoming addition to the hugely successful rhythm game franchise. The hi-def video shows some expert mode gameplay of one of that crazy new tracks Dragonforce's epic speed metal tune Through the Fire and Flames. Check it out.

Also in GH3 news this week is that Rage Against The Machine star guitarist Tom Morello will now also be joining the previously revealed Slash and Bret Michaels as a boss character in the game.

Ubisoft have announced new content for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 would be made available through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

"This new premium content package will enrich and extend the original game by allowing players to expand their Xbox LIVE experience with an all-new game mode and seven fan-favorite maps hand-selected from past Ghost Recon games. As a special thank you to the devoted Ghost Recon fans, Ubisoft is offering both Classic Pack 2 and the previously released Classic Pack 1, now available via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for free download."

Warhawk takes flight

Warhawk, the PlayStation 3's belated launch title turned downloable purchase is now available from the PlayStation Network, offering disc free online multiplayer and the first real fleshed-out implementation of the PS3's motion sensing six-axis controller. A standard retail version is set to touchdown on shelves September 20. Check out this trailer for a look at what to expect from the game's adversarial mode.

Sighted: Metroid Prime 3

Nintendo has announced details, locations and dates for their Australia-wide Nintendo Connection Tour which will showcase a number of the Touch Generation games, host competitions and give people a first look at the likes of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass. THQ has announced an all-new Worms title is heading exclusively to Wii. Worms: A Space Oddity has been developed for Nintendo's Trojan console to take full advantage of the Wii Remote, and that sounds like a good plan to us. The game is being developed by Team 17 so expectations are pretty high for a good quality Worms experience.

She's a mystery girl

The original Mysteryville was a blast for puzzle solving adventure hunters. Now the series is back with the cleverly titled Mysteryville 2.

The star protagonist of the first game, top reporter Laura heads off for a holiday break only to uncover a new mystery.
