Merry Crys-mas

PC Gamers are in for a treat this holiday season with EA's Crysis now officially joining the Christmas release ranks. November 15 is the Australian date to mark on your calendars.
Check out the latest Crysis trailer right here on GameArena.
Sometimes it can be hard for publishers to keep their big announcements under wraps, especially when you have International ratings boards to contend with. This week's tasty teaser comes courtesy of the German USK ratings board who listed a submission from Blizzard titled World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (GC-Demo) - presumably making sure their new content is fit for public consumption at the upcoming Leipzig Games Conference.
The Lich King being a fundamental character in the Warcraft Universe makes it all the more likely that this is the tentative title for World of Warcraft's next expansion and perhaps provides some insight into the add-on's theme and setting. Stay tuned to GameArena for confirmation and further details on this one from both the upcoming Blizzcon and Leipzig GC events.

Come with me: Halo 3
|
Closing once and for all the rumours that Halo 3 might not include online cooperative play through the game's storyline campaign, Bungie has pulled all the details in a news post on their official site. The article confirms Halo 3 will support four player online cooperative and it looks like they're making the extra effort make it fit better into the game's narrative by giving each play control of a unique character. "Player one will control the Master Chief, player two will control the Arbiter and players three and four will get the chance to control two brand new Elite characters." Bungie's blog even includes bios for the newcomers, Sangheili's N'tho 'Sraom and Usze 'Taham. Bring on September 25.

Brace yourselves for this one. Star reporter Richie Young recently had the opportunity to go hands-on with Konami's upcoming football iteration PES 2008. As soon as the embargo is lifted we'll have all the details online - stay tuned for August 7th when the article will go up.
The Xbox 360 might have secured the exclusive content for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 4 but Sony don't seem overly concerned, announcing on the official PlayStation Blog that they have an entire Rockstar developed game slated for PlayStation 3 exclusivity.
"Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that.. This is really a win-win situation for both companies." ... "This franchise is not LA Noire, but something all new."
Stay tuned to BigPond GameArena for more details and media as they are made available.
