Hi,
I'm trying to get the US Client for Lord of the Rings Online - Siege of Mirkwood hosted. The US website however offers it as a download in the form of a download manager (a few MB only) which then of course downloads the full file (>10GB).

I have requested the file but the request was denied due to the file being too small (obviously only the download manager). In Australia, the US client is the correct version to use, but gamearena hosts the Eurpoean Client only.

I have found two other sites hosting the US client:
1) http://games.on.net/file/31141/The_Lord ... ull_Client
2) http://www.atomicgamer.com/files/82649/ ... client-usa

Is it possible for Gamearena to host a file from another file hosting service?

Unfortunately we can't mirror this file; we have tried to obtain permission from the publisher but we have not received it. I will try and contact them again.

Cool, let me know the outcome! I've actually already destroyed my quota by downloading it directly from the publisher, but it'll be good to get it up here on gamearena...

I emailed who I thought was the publisher (Codemasters) but turns out they only handle the EU versions. They have directed me to Turbine, and I have fired them an email.

I would /strongly/ recommend, if you are interested in helping making this happen, that you drop a note on the official LOTRO forums and try to drum up some other Aussies to post in there.

I will 100% guarantee you that we'll mirror these files but at the moment it is up to Turbine to release a full installer that contains the whole game (as opposed to a download manager), and the more awareness they have of the issue of bringing it to Australians the better (I have given them some info but the more 'real' gamers they see talking about this the more attention they will pay the issue).
