I downloaded the 1.2 patch, extracts fine then click the update window, updates up to 86/539 and then error message:

"Update Failed. (36) Medal of honor Airborne may not be installed properly. Please reinstall".

Have no problems with game playing before. I downloaded this patch from Gamershell thro an iinet mirror and have d/l it twice and still same error. Any suggestions?? does the d/l file needs to be in a certain folder for patch to update game??

Installshield went to **** once it started with all these conditional install stuff. My advice try being a bit more descriptive when you post an error. It would be nice to have a little more to go on you know? Anyway the installer for this game has got to be the worst I’ve seen in a while. It doesn’t take much to upset it. If I was you I’d try reinstalling the whole game while I had disabled my virus scanner and for some stupid reason I would enable windows firewall as well. I would also check my physX version, that AGEIA stuff. They seem to be the biggest causes of problems. And I would maybe download the patch from Gamearena if your cap allowed.

Thanks Sloth for your input, but you know what, if I had more info to give you I would have, I am getting so **** off with these stupid games which costs around the \$100 mark......these dam games should just work......I shouldnt be on here **** farting around trying to get games and patches to work by means of wasting my time and yours to get this game working.

THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD OF BEEN A MAC........sorry I am just getting sick of PC's......just spent over 2.5k on my new gaming machine that I dont use because games dont work. HEY EA GAMES.........I spent \$100 on Airborne that has soooo much potential and it gets released as a piece of crap.......

Why release a game that costs \$100 of our hard earn money and its buggy as all hell. I got a good mind to send it back to EA and tell them u know what to do with it.

Well get back to me when you’ve had a little lie down. Installs have log files which generally tell you the exact problem. I know it’s too much work for a MAC user but if you could post it you might be playing sooner rather than later….

find out which file name #86 has got, then find the file on your CD (or EA Downloader package) and replace that file in your install folder.

All it means is that the file is corrupt or modified in some way.
