I've been playing on the GA Gungame servers for quite some time now and i must say, it is quite enjoyable, but the lack of moderation of these servers is terrible when these servers are usually quite full.

Lately, (probably due to the school holidays) i've submitted a few demo's in over the last couple of days. These mainly consist of mic spammers (not the chit chat but the music players) and it becomes quite frustrating trying to play. I know the option to mute is available but the amount of times i have to do it each day is getting ridiculous and now does not suffice anymore.

Not only is it the mic spammers that annoy me, but the constant hacker accusations people are receiving. Can we please have a few GameOp's that enjoy playing gungame to moderate these servers because myself and many of the regulars cannot tolerate it any longer.

I agree with Crona. I spend a lot of time int he gungame 2 server. There is a great bunch of regulars who play on this server and for the most part everyone gets along. However increasingly regularly there are other players joining in, something which i like to see when they play fairly and friendly. However when these players music spam the mic and/or become abusive against people in order to get a rise I find myself loosing the will to enjoy a game.

I believe this is something that can be fixed relatively easily either by the introduction of more Gameops (Something which I would gladly put myself forward for if it improves the Gamearena experience) or by increasing the amount of time Gameops spend on the gungame servers.

Current Gameops please let me know your thoughts on this asap.

I would try adding GameOps onto your friends list and contacting them if there's someone hacking or disrupting gameplay. You could also try looking at the chat section of "The Arena" http://www.gamearena.com.au/downloads/details.php/47990)">(http://www.gamearena.com.au/downloads/details.php/47990) for admins that are currently online, however, they are generally either (in my experience) afk, or in-game, so it is advisable to just add the GameOps to your friends list instead.

I agree that GameOps are rarely on, however, they are human beings and volunteers so they have no obligation to do what they do, and I am very appreciative of everything that they do, also there are about 30 GameArena servers to patrol too. There's also the possibility that they are on, we just don't know about it ;-)

I'd just demo each offender and report them (by pressing the ~ key (if it is not enabled go into the Options > Keyboard > Advanced > "Enable developer console ~") and typing" record " where is anything, then type "status" and copy the offender's Steam Id, which will look like STEAM_0:1:1234567), they usually disappear after a game or 2 and by reporting an incident http://www.gamearena.com.au/help/incident/)">(http://www.gamearena.com.au/help/incident/) you can almost guarantee that it will be dealt with in due time.

Some of my message may appear condescending (since it's clear you understand how to record and report an offense) but I included these instructions for those not familiar to the process, so don't take it the wrong way.

Im on Gun Game Server 2 nearly every day, so if you do need a GameOp's assistance feel free to join and ask for help. Alternatively add my steam account to friends as mentioned in my previous post.

sadly since I bought my new pc about 2 months ago I have not been able to get steam working in conjunction with windows 7.

Thats strange catalyst, I've got Windows 7 Pro and it's working fine for me.

yeah, it wont connect when you open steam.

Wondered where you have been cat and this explains it. Hope you get it fixed, been playing outside ga cause no one here likes to play the servers with map rotation.

the problem has eventually fixed itself (after like 3 re-formats and various other painful experiences)

Once again you may see me drifting through the servers, take care on me though, its been 175 days since my last steam login so i might be a bit rusty !!

wow heads aint very strict on here... was game admin for another pub server a while back my computer died in the *** and after 30 days of being offline my admin was stripped due to inactivity even though i stayed active on the forums

Lol only way he will get banned is if you upload the proof to the incident reporting system. Put the screen shot and demo in a folder and zipping it up with winzip, then upload the zip file.
