I have a suspicion that it's going to be as boring as GTAIV. So no its not for me.

GTA was stale and boring.

RDR is awesome.

GTA was awesome. Online mode in RDR has been what brakes me wrt not updating the firmware. So... I get my copy this week (assuming eBay seller doesn't **** me around). Username I've never posted here before because I don't like attracting too many miscreants bothering me. Got enough of that in Home.

Anyway, it's *SHOCK, HORROR* Hotcakes. Hit me up later in the week. I'll respond if I have it by then

Just to be sure, are you talking about your PSN friends or the in-game sessions?

If in-game sessions, the PS3 port is extremely problematic when it comes to the online portion, many of the same problems that plagued GTA4 on PS3 for the first 6 months are apparent on this game also. R* have recognised the need for a patch which is out soon now (said weeks ago).

In the meantime, keep finding a new Free Roam until you stumble across a session with some people in it. It can take numerous tries to find a decent session.

There are also 'connection' issues that force you or other players out of a session for no good reason. I have started experiencing them as of a few days ago. Don't know if Internode or the game is to blame. I'm blaming the game regardless. Just keep it in mind when people disappear for no reason.

EDIT : The first patch, 1.02 has been released today (16MB). All signs point to nothing having changed.

yeah patch has had no effect I guess I'll have to just go new free roam over & over until I see someone else.

ok so I can remember how to find my Ip address & I can remember how to make my ip static instead of dynamic to increase my likley hood of find a room with ohter players but I can't for the life of me remember the default username & password. Anyone know what it may be for a speedstream?

Love RDR, the single player story is EPIC, and I have played online a bit but have to admit that it get boring after a while, I agree with Sammy, I find it difficult to find others online.....anyone, I just skip through the servers until I find somone.
