You may have seen bitcoin in the news, or you may have heard about them from a friend. Bitcoins are an amazingly popular digital currency that is used by people all over the world – and loads of people buy, sell, trade and even store them until they’re worth more money!

But what’s the point of them? Well, not only is it cool to actually own digital currency, but there are also a lot of shops who accept it as payment for services and goods, too.

Who accepts bitcoin as payment in China?

It may seem a little odd that a company would accept this new kind of digital currency, but there are loads that do! From small business owners to merchants who have millions, a lot of them accept bitcoins as payment.

And they’re not all online, either – there are also a lot of physical stores that accept bitcoins, too. It may have been a bit trickier to find a company that accepted bitcoins a little while ago, but they’re a lot more popular now.

So, don’t worry about not being able to spend your bitcoins both online and on the high street!

How to get bitcoins in China

It’s quite easy to get bitcoins. You can purchase them online using another currency, mine them (which is what the process of making bitcoins is called), or even receive them as gifts! It’s not hard to obtain them and it isn’t difficult to get a bitcoin wallet to store them in either.

There are 5 different kinds of bitcoin wallets and once you get a type that you like, you can store your bitcoins safely – as well as start buying, selling and trading them, too. There are loads of bitcoin wallets, but if you’re new to bitcoin it may be a good idea to get one that’s user-friendly and geared toward simple use.

Spending your bitcoins in China

If you’ve got some bitcoins (whether you brought them, got them as a gift, or even mined them), then you can spend them for whatever you want – as long as the website or physical store accepts bitcoins as payment, that is.

In most instances if you want to buy a burger with your bitcoins, you can. As more and more outlets are beginning to accept them, you’ll soon find alternative places to pay if your chosen store doesn’t take digital currency. For example, if one shop doesn’t take your cash – their main competitor may very well do so instead.
